- remember from our transport last November? He was as risk of euthanasia due to some health issues he was having. When Kayla and Kelly saw him sitting in his kennel facing the back wall in the , we knew we had to get him out. Thanks to and a loving , Charles got to spend about a month out of the shelter and in a home with other dog friends and people that loved him. He crossed the on December 13, 2025. He had our . 🐾❤️

This is one of the hard parts of rescue...

This tiny and her siblings came from Michigan, and their foster noticed something was different about this little tortie girl. She had Cerebral Hydrocephalus - an excess of cerebrospinal fluid in the ventricles of her .

Despite this, she was playful, loved, and The Catcade - cat rescue and lounge took a chance on her...she had an appointment today to see what the rescue could do to help her. Unfortunately, she didn't make it.

Please send The Catcade - cat rescue and lounge staff some positive vibes today, as rescued animals immediately become part of the family. ❤️

Hallie comes to us with a wealth of knowledge, an unstoppable work ethic, and a truly creative vision for the future of our rescue. In the short time she’s been at the helm, her hard work and passion for animal welfare have already brought so much positive energy to our staff, volunteers, and—most importantly—our animals.

We are so incredibly thankful to have her, and we know there are big, beautiful things to come for the Humane Society Adoption Center of Monroe under her leadership. 💛

May numbers are here!! We had an amazing month - , adorable , requests for smaller animals…it was busy, but well worth it! ❤️ Thank you to our intake/receiving shelter partners, caregivers, fosters, drivers…we couldn’t save this many lives without all of you!
