Chiroti Secondary School is on the 2027/2028 list of schools to recieve a new library. This school is so excited for a new library and computer lab, that they already built the space. They are only asking us to complete it with the proper furniture and supplies. The Chiroti Secondary School Library will be connected to their new Science Lab. More information will be coming soon on how you can support this project!

With the help of a team in Australia, Chivakanenyama Secondary School is on the 2027/2028 list of schools to recieve a new library. They have already used proceeds from their school garden to build themselves a science lab. They've shown their hard work and dedication to school sustainability and are very deserving of recieving a school library.

Tererai Trent International sponsors 14 schools. Until this year, Matau Primary School was the only school that had a library. This library was sponsored by Oprah Winfrey. Two libraries built, 12 to go!

There is so much more to share, but I wanted to post a few photos from the official opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony of the Musukwi Primary School Library in Zimbabwe.

What began as a dream has now become a reality for hundreds of students who will have access to books, literacy opportunities, and a space dedicated to learning and growth.

My heart is full of gratitude for every student, educator, donor, and supporter who helped make this possible.

What began as a passion for literacy, education, and service has grown into a mission to help build libraries and expand educational opportunities for students across Zimbabwe.

Through partnerships with schools, students, families, donors, and communities, Libraries for Zimbabwe works to provide children with access to books, literacy resources, and spaces where they can learn, dream, and imagine brighter futures.

Inspired by the work of Dr. Tererai Trent and the Tinogona Foundation, this mission is rooted in the belief that every child deserves access to education and the opportunity to discover what is possible through learning.
