Fayette County Schools Mourns the Loss of Ms. Marion Tanner

Fayette County Schools mourns the unexpected loss of Ms. Marion Tanner, a true pillar of our educational community.

Ms. Tanner was a force in Fayette County Schools, dedicating her life to serving students and families across our county. She made a lasting impact as a teacher, a past board member of the Fayette County Board of Education, and as a founding member of Fayette County Read Aloud.

Her passion for education was unmatched, and she carried a deep commitment to ensuring that all children in Southern West Virginia had the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.

Ms. Tanner’s legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched and the love she had for education and this community.

We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
