We are accepting nominations for the 2026 Tina Busdiecker Winning Spirit Award.

This award was created for Tina Busdiecker in 2020. If you knew Tina, you knew that she was a fierce competitor in the show ring and had a wonderful sense of humor – and that did not change as she battled cancer. Some days she barely made it through a showmanship pattern or needed help to mount her wonderful horse, Charlie Doolin, but her passion for showing and drive to be the best that she can be overpowered all. No matter how hard of a day she was having, she would still show up and do her best to brighten the day of those around her.

The Ottawa County Horse Foundation wants to keep this award going in memory of Tina. If you know someone who exemplifies that “Winning Spirit” in the face of adversity, with a positive attitude and passion for our sport, please take the time to nominate them and explain why. This nominee does NOT need to be a current OCHF member but should be someone who works closely with our horse community.

When considering a nomination for this award, please note that it should be aimed towards someone who has overcome, or who is facing a trialing time in their lives but keeps a positive attitude through it all. This nominee does NOT need to be a current OCHF member but should be someone who works closely with our horse community!
