Whidbey Island Horn Club This page is to provide updates about news, events, performances, and other activities by the Whidbe The ensemble is always accepting donations.

The Whidbey Island Horn Club (WIHC) was formed in June 2016 by Whidbey Island native Sean A. Brown, who serves as the director and organizer of the group. The WIHC is an entirely volunteer group, where members donate their time and resources to the group. Being a member of the group simply means being a horn player who is high-school aged or older. The group raises money in order to purchase music

& resources, rent venues, and attend workshops, so that there is minimal expense to the members. The group meets once every two weeks for 2 hours and rehearses horn ensemble music for 4-8 parts. Although the age and ability level of the ensemble is quite mixed, it is the belief of the ensemble that the right mindset, attitude and hard work can make any musical ensemble sound good and please an audience. The ensemble generally plays with a conductor.
