Thanks to all our wonderful volunteers, the Gift Shop will now be open on Thursdays from 10-3 in addition to Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 10-4. Stop in and say hi!

Thank you to all that came to hear Bob Lund speak yesterday evening at the FOMM meeting. Just how important are Volunteers to Magee Marsh? Bob Lund is an example of the impact volunteering can have. He has been instrumental in preserving some of the history of the area, including the idea for a Friends group, keeping the Visitor Center open on Sunday in the early 1990’s, the duck decoy collection and display, the first waterfowl festival held at Magee Marsh and the Federal Duck Stamp Collection, just to name a few.
Please take inspiration from Bob Lund, if you have extra time to give and want to help keep the history alive at Magee Marsh, help us keep the Visitor Center open for visitors and help us with projects to enhance the visitor experience and become a part of a group of wonderful dedicated volunteers and members of the Friends of Magee Marsh.

We will be drawing the winners of our Spring Membership Drive tomorrow night at our monthly FOMM meeting. 7pm
Two pairs of binoculars will be given out to two lucky winners!

Our good friends the Mayflies are starting to wake up! These winged insects help us know the water quality. They do not have a mouth or digestive system as an adult. There are multiple types of mayflies that emerge as well!

We want to thank all of you who support our gift shop!! May was super busy, but our wonderful volunteers kept the shop open everyday from 8-4! All of the profits from the store go towards projects right at Magee Marsh. Our store is small but we pack a lot of merchandise! Is there something you would like us to carry in our gift shop? We are listening………..
