Roll down any backroad here and you’ll find them: little wooden stands stacked with just-picked berries, heirloom tomatoes still warm from the vine, farm eggs, dahlias by the bucket. No cashier. No register. Just an honesty jar and a hand-written price. 💛

This is how the island eats — food that traveled feet, not miles. Grown by neighbors, sold on trust, paid for with the change in your pocket or an app on your phone. Nothing wasted, everything shared. 🌱

Come for the peaches. Stay for the reminder that a community can still run on good faith. ♻️

🚴 What a ride! On August 15th, the Whidbey Health Foundation presented the local favorite, “Tour de Whidbey,” which brought our community together across some of the most beautiful roads on the island.

Every mile is an investment in your health — your heart, your lungs, and your peace of mind. Because an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, and moving your body today is the best gift you can give your future self.

Huge thanks to every rider, volunteer, and supporter who made it happen. Here’s to health, to Whidbey, and to the ride ahead. 💚

🚪 Doors to nowhere... or doors to everywhere? 🚴

Ride with us on Whidbey Island, where roadside properties hold one of the island’s quirkiest secrets: stand-alone doors. No walls, no rooms — just a single door standing proud at the edge of the road, framing sky, trees, and open field. Each one is a little invitation to imagine what’s on the other side. 🌲✨

We captured a few of our favorites on two wheels for this short. Whidbey has a way of turning an ordinary bike ride into a treasure hunt.

A gentle reminder: these doors sit on private property. Enjoy them from the road, snap your photos from a respectful distance, and please don’t wander onto anyone’s land. Be mindful of people’s property so this island stays as welcoming as it is weird. 💚

🚲🎉 UNI. BI. TRI-CYCLE?! Yes, it’s PARADE time! 🎉🚲

Since 1915, the Maxwelton 4th of July Parade has brought South Whidbey together for potluck dishes, fresh-baked goods, and home-grown charm. 🥧🇺🇸 This year, a crew of local cyclists rolled right through the route on unicycles, bikes, and trikes! 🎊🚴

Pro tip for next year: skip the parking hassle — biking in is the easiest way to reach the celebration. 🚲💨

Grab your wheels (one, two, or three!) and roll into the 4th with us. 🎆
