🚨 Join our team! 🔥 The City of Oak Harbor Fire Department is hiring for multiple Firefighter/EMT positions. 👩‍🚒👨‍🚒

To qualify for this position, candidates will:
• Possess current EMT-B certification (WA state or National Registry)
• Possess current Firefighter 1 certification (WA state or IFSAC)
• Be 18 years of age at time of application
• Have completed required testing administered by the National Testing Network:
- Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) – passed within 12-months.
- Written General Knowledge Exam - passing score of 70% or above.

APPLICATION PROCESS:
1. GO TO the NATIONAL TESTING NETWORK (www.nationaltestingnetwork.com)
2. SELECT City of Oak Harbor Fire Department.
3. REGISTER FOR and COMPLETE the required testing.
4. TEST SCORES will be pulled on October 21, 2024, at 11:59.
5. GO TO the CITY OF OAK HARBOR (www.oakharbor.gov)
6. COMPLETE the City of Oak Harbor Firefighter/EMT online application
7. TOP SCORING APPLICANTS will be invited to interview.

Meet your firefighters and get to know your neighbors! August 1, National Night out in Oak Harbor, Windjammer Park.

Mark your calendars for an afternoon in the park with first responders! National Night Out will be Tuesday, August 1st at Windjammer Park (1600 SW Beeksma Drive) from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. See you there!

Tomorrow, Firefighters from the Oak Harbor Fire Department will be climbing the Columbia Center tower in Seattle. This will be for the annual Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Firefighter Stair Climb where participants go up 1,356 steps in full fire protection gear, including an air pack.
One of the people being represented is our very own Elizabeth Larrew of WhidbeyHealth. Your Oak Harbor Firefighters are proud to climb for you and everyone else who has dealt with cancers.
