The services and supports that help people with developmental disabilities live, work, and thrive in their communities are made possible in large part through Medicaid.

We believe it is important for the voices of individuals with disabilities, their families, and providers to be heard as decisions are made that could impact those services.

We encourage those interested to learn more about the upcoming rally and advocacy efforts taking place across Ohio.

Gloves up! 😄 Our crew recently spent the day learning some boxing fundamentals through an adapted fitness activity. From working the heavy ropes to practicing punches and movement drills, everyone had the opportunity to participate at their own pace and ability level.

RVI is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Job Coach to support adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) as they develop workplace skills, build confidence, and succeed in community employment opportunities.

This rewarding position allows you to make a direct impact while helping individuals achieve meaningful employment and greater independence.

Position: Job Coach
Location: Ottawa County and surrounding areas
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Available
Schedule: Variable schedule

What You'll Do
• Provide one-on-one and small group job coaching and support.
• Assist individuals in learning job duties and workplace expectations.
• Support individuals in developing vocational, social, and communication skills.
• Monitor progress toward employment goals and document outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with employers, families, guardians, and support teams.
• Encourage independence while providing individualized support.
• Assist with transportation and community integration activities as needed.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and person-centered work environment.
• Ensure compliance with DODD regulations, ISP goals, and agency policies.

Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Previous coaching, training, education, human services, or customer service experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass BCI/FBI background checks.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate, patient, and committed to helping others succeed.
