The Pterodactyl Protection Society (PPS) is a Whidbey Island–based initiative working to create a transition and life-skills campus focused on stability, self-reliance, and practical skills.

Our primary mission is to support veterans who are navigating life after service and looking for a steady, grounded path forward. Veterans are the heart of why PPS exists.

We also recognize that veterans are not the only people who find themselves off track or starting over. PPS is being built to welcome others who are willing to show up, do real work, and take responsibility for rebuilding stability in their lives.

PPS is not a shelter, treatment center, or political organization. Our approach is practical and non-clinical, centered on hands-on training for trades, farming and traditional skills, basic life skills, community service, and personal accountability. The goal is to help people leave more capable, confident, and self-sufficient than when they arrived, and live the life everyone deserves.
