Hey kids! Your barn quilt is up! Thank you Julie Lipari with Barn Quilts by Jewels!!!

My church (United Methodist Church of Oak Grove) provides an after school program for the middle and high school students during the school year. For the 2nd year in a row the kids have helped me paint a barn quilt. Last year was a wolf because we are The Den. This year is this gnome for the community garden behind the church.

Meet Cornelius Cobblenose!

He will be barn quilt number 1 on our upcoming trail. Watch for more information on that coming in the Fall.

Happy summer! One of the awesome things we have done at The Den the last two years is a barn quilt. Drawn by Julie Lipari, one of our volunteers, and also the proprietor of Barn Quilts by Jewels, she helps us paint and finish the barn quilt. Last year, she drew an awesome wolf for The Den, and this year she drew an awesome gnome to be displayed at our community garden. Pretty awesome Den kids! Thank you Julie!!!!

We are open two more days before the end of the school year! Monday and Wednesday. Wednesday, we will have enchiladas for dinner at 6:00!

What do we do at The Den? We learned how to make Pasta Fagoli Soup-and we ate together. It was Soooooooooo good! And we played games. A good way to spend a cold afternoon!
