Power and control is the root cause of domestic violence. Domestic violence is not an isolated or individual event. It is a series of controlling and manipulative behaviors used to control the victim.

Domestic violence can manifest in a number of ways, and there’s usually more than one tactic taking place in an abusive relationship. Regardless of the coercive behavior used, it always comes back to power and control over the victim.

Domestic violence shouldn’t “stay behind closed doors.” If you or someone you know is a victim of domestic violence please speak up, that could be the difference between life and death.

When we treat domestic violence as a private or family matter that should stay behind closed doors, we make victims feel even more isolated. Survivors shouldn’t have to “go-through-it-alone.” Do your part to remove the stigma - keep sharing information and resources, and talk about domestic violence with your friends and family.

The time has come for all abuse victims to step out of a situation that won’t get better but worse!!!🤬It killed my baby!!! A psychopath took my baby to her grave!!!!💜💜💜💜🦋🙏🧬🧬Please don’t be the next life that is taken because of an abuser!!!!
