Great news!
The Senate HELP committee unanimously advanced the bipartisan National Plan for Epilepsy Act; a major step toward a coordinated national strategy to improve epilepsy care, accelerate research, and strengthen support for the 3.4 million Americans living with epilepsy. Sponsored by Senators Schmitt and Klobuchar, the bill would direct HHS to develop a unified framework for diagnosis, treatment, awareness, and collaboration across federal programs.
A big win for the epilepsy community! Let’s keep the momentum going by urging Members of Congress to cosponsor the bill.
