Deadline to order is today for Steers.

Good Morning Livestock Community,

This is the last day to order DNA Kits online for the Market Steers, if haven't order yet, yall have until 5pm today to do so.

9 days until the Possession Deadline for Market Steers, turn into the State Fair of Louisiana Livestock office.

Please use Priority mail in case it gets lost when sending it in.
Please do not wait until the last minute to order the DNA kits.

These days we have snail mail, we don't have Paul Revere delivering anymore.

The State Fair of Louisiana’s Livestock Office has shared the 2026 DNA kit online order deadlines and possession dates for the State Fair Livestock Show. Please review carefully and share with your exhibitors.

🧬 2026 DNA Kit Online Order Deadlines

Market Steers – June 1
Goats (Dairy Does, Commercial Meat Does, Wether Dams, Market Goats) – July 1
Sheep (Commercial Ewes & Market Lambs) – July 1
Commercial Heifers – July 1
Commercial Dairy Cattle – July 1
Hogs (Commercial Gilts & Market Swine) – August 1

Note:
You may pick up DNA kits in person at the State Fair Office between the online deadlines and possession dates.
📌 No kits will be mailed after the online order deadlines close.

Good morning to all!

LA Bred will be validating on these dates and times. You must order tags in advance. Send $50.00 per calf to 4325 Highway 582 Oak Grove, LA 71263.

Go to State Fair of Louisiana web page and print forms. You must bring cow and calf to validate.

Dates :
03-26 Delhi Sale Barn. 10-12.
03-27 Brian Galley 10-12.
04-09. LSU Baton Rouge 10-12.
04-10 Ron Springer 10-12.
04-11 LSU A 8-12.

This will be the only Brand Commission certification this year. You may still get your vet to validate calves.
