What if the Prodigal Son isn’t just about one lost son? Last weekend, Nick Galezewski took us into Luke 15 and showed us the story of two lost sons and one extraordinary Father. One son ran away through rebellion. The other stayed home but became lost in resentment and self-righteousness. And the Father? He went after both.

Whether you’ve wandered far from God or grown distant while staying close, the Father’s grace is calling you home. Nick reminds us that repentance isn’t just feeling bad—it’s turning toward home. And because of Jesus, our true and greater Older Brother, the door is open, shame doesn’t get the final word, and there’s a place for us at the table.

After six weeks of exploring Jesus’ parables in our Divine Stories series, we come to one of His most challenging stories: the Parable of the Wedding Banquet in Matthew 22. It’s a powerful picture of God’s grace: we don’t earn our way into the Kingdom. The invitation is better than we deserve, and God simply says, “Come.”

But the story also reminds us that we can’t enter on our own terms or wearing our own righteousness. The question isn’t, “Am I good enough for heaven?” The question is, “Am I clothed in Christ?” You don’t get into the banquet because you’re good enough. You get in because Jesus is.

We did NOT have service on Sunday. Instead, we spent the day at the ballpark watching the Milkmen. We built relationships, enjoyed some time in the sun, and had a great time!

We will be back to our regular schedule this Sunday, August 23rd. See you 10 AM at Oak Creek West Middle School as we continue with Divine Stories!
