We are still smiling about this one.

Chrisann Taras and John Komola represented Team Vineyard Havens in this year's Golf Fights Cancer 100 Hole Golf Marathon and they showed up in a big way. With sunny skies and an incredible amount of heart, they raised over $12,000 for Vineyard Havens.

To Chrisann and John, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Our future families are grateful beyond words.

Golf Fights Cancer does something truly special every year and we are so proud to be part of it.

We are so grateful to be one of the recipients of this year's MVY Chamber Annual 10K Raffle!

A portion of every ticket sold this summer supports the work we do here on Martha's Vineyard, and that support goes a long way for the community we serve.

Some places have a way of slowing you down without asking permission. Martha's Vineyard is one of them. The moment you step off the ferry, something shifts. The pace changes. The noise fades. You start noticing things again, the color of the water, the way the light moves across an open field, the sound of absolutely nothing in particular.

We tend to forget what stillness feels like until we find ourselves standing in the middle of it. This island has a way of giving it back to you.

Why I Run.

"I have been battling through a variety of injuries these last six months that have generally kept me on the sidelines. I'm excited to share that I am finally back out on the roads! Running for Vineyard Havens is the thing that keeps getting me back out there. Thank you for your support of my race and our shared ability to support families navigating a cancer diagnosis. Your generosity and compassion are greatly appreciated."
