Last night was the Soaring Eagle District Dinner and several members of our Troop were recognized. Landen S and Jen H were awarded Scouter of the Year for 35B and Haley S and Ashley B-Z were awarded Scouter of the Year for 35G. Scouter of the Year is awarded to scouts and leaders that demonstrate exceptional Scput spirit, leadership and community service within the Troop and in their personal life.

Ashley B-Z was also awarded the District Award of Merit. This award is is provided to adult leaders that provide outstanding service to youth, both in the Troop and at the District level. Ashley has stepped up in many ways for our District taking on the day camp and twilight programs, besides many others.

The Arrow of Light (AOL) crossover ceremony marks the transition from Cub Scouting to Scouts BSA, symbolizing growth, adventure, and the "flying up" to new challenges. This week we attended the first two crossovers of this special time of year.

Great morning for the scouts. Scouts assisted the Rotary in their annual Wreaths Across America pick-up in Shiloh. Special thanks to John Woody Almind for organizing and to Rick Morse for sharing the history lesson.
