VFW Auxiliary Post 5077 Supports H.E.R.O.E.S. CARE Supply Drive
VFW Auxiliary Post 5077—represented by Sue P., Judy C., Anna G., Judy N., Auxiliary members—and two non‑member volunteers (Sue’s husband and grandson), joined with community volunteers to support the H.E.R.O.E.S. CARE “Support Our Troops Supply Drive.” Together, they packaged boxes filled with much‑needed snacks, personal care items, and essential supplies for our brave men and women serving overseas.

To support shipping costs for the drive, VFW Auxiliary Post 5077 proudly presented a check for $540.00 to Jeff of H.E.R.O.E.S. CARE.
The Auxiliary donated $200, and an additional $340 in monetary contributions was collected from the VFW Post 5077 Bingo community. These funds, along with donated goods, help ensure that deployed service members receive thoughtful and useful care packages.

This effort reflects the continued dedication of Post 5077 Auxiliary and its volunteers to honoring and supporting our troops—at home and abroad.

VFW Auxiliary and Post 5077 members joined the community in a moving display of patriotism at the annual Patriot Day Ceremony and 9/11 Remembrance event held at the O’Fallon, MO Justice Center. Four Auxiliary members and two Post 5077 members were in attendance.

The ceremony was marked by deep emotion as (Ret.) Battalion Chief Mark Stenger of the O’Fallon Fire Protection District shared his firsthand experience at Ground Zero. Many in the audience were brought to tears as he recounted the sights, sounds, and heartbreak of that day—offering a powerful reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and resilience shown by first responders and citizens alike.

The event honored the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the enduring spirit of unity that emerged from one of America’s darkest days.
