After pregnancy and infant loss, it can be hard not to wonder what if or get lost in the should haves, would haves, or could haves. It can be equally as hard not to question the future or worry about what comes next.

But you do not have to have it all figured out today.

Let today be today. Take a breath. Feel what you need to feel. Today is hard enough, you don't have to carry it too!

Grief can be lonely. Sometimes, the greatest comfort comes from a companion who doesn’t need us to explain how we’re feeling.

Dogs have a special way of simply being there — sitting beside us on the hard days, getting us outside when we need fresh air, offering a warm place to rest our hand, and reminding us that we don’t have to carry every moment alone.

For families navigating pregnancy and infant loss, that quiet companionship can be a meaningful part of healing.

Today, on International Dog Day, we celebrate the dogs who have stayed close through the tears, brought comfort on the hardest days, and reminded us that we are never truly alone.

Sometimes healing has four paws.

Three Years of Butterfly Kisses Alliance

It’s hard to believe, but this past weekend, Butterfly Kisses Alliance celebrated our 3rd anniversary.

Three years ago, we started with a simple mission: to make sure families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss know they are not alone.

Since then, we have shipped more than 2,500 comfort kits to grieving families.

2,500 babies remembered.
2,500 families reminded they are not alone.
2,500 opportunities to honor a life that mattered.

But behind every number is a baby. A family. A story. A love that continues long after goodbye.

What started as an idea has grown into a community of families, volunteers, donors, healthcare professionals, and supporters who believe that no family should have to navigate loss alone.

As we celebrate three years, we are incredibly grateful for every person who has donated, volunteered, shared our mission, attended an event, requested a kit for someone they love, or simply helped us remind a grieving family that their baby will always be remembered.

Three years down, and there is still so much more we hope to do.
