Our field trip to Jefferson City was educational and fun! Nine of our representatives toured the Special
Olympics building. We dropped off donations collected at our meetings. These will be used as incentives for the athletes. We learned so much about SOMO. Next was lunch at Big Whiskeys and then on to visit the State Capital museum. Of course, we couldn’t leave town without a stop at the famous Central Dairy for ice cream!

Congratulations to the Knights of Columbus!

Knights of Columbus Supreme Knight Patrick Kelly yesterday gratefully accepted the 2026 Path to Peace Award from the Path to Peace Gala Foundation. The Path to Peace Gala Foundation, in support of the work of the Permanent Observer Mission of the Holy See to the United Nations in New York and urgent humanitarian causes, honors an individual each year for outstanding service to the cause of peace. The Path to Peace Award was presented to Supreme Knight Kelly by Archbishop Gabriele G. Caccia, Apostolic Nuncio to the United States and Path to Peace Foundation President.

The Permanent Observer Mission of the Holy See to the United Nations was officially established on April 6, 1964 and has since been a prominent leader in the advancement of peace and justice in the international community, serving as a vehicle for promoting the teachings of the Catholic Church.

“On behalf of more than 2.2 million Knights of Columbus around the world, it’s an incredible honor to accept the Path to Peace Award from the Permanent Observer Mission of the Holy See to the United Nations,” said Supreme Knight Kelly. “More than 140 years ago, Blessed Michael McGivney founded the Knights on the pillars of charity, unity, and fraternity. Today, we are proud to continue this mission around the world, in our parish councils and communities, and in nations facing the devasting impacts of war and religious intolerance. We pray that our efforts will help to bring peace and ease suffering, as we give witness to the hope that comes from Jesus Christ.”

Palm Sunday was also the 5th Sunday Mass yesterday. Watch as the KC and LA lead the congregation in to church to symbolize Jesus and his followers coming in to Jerusalem.
