We couldn’t be prouder of these young people. 4 of our scholarship recipients were celebrated by our Executive Director Kim Cross at Nyack High School Senior Awards Night. Demetrius Peterson and Aziya Downing received the Scholarship Plus generously endowed by Ray Wright. Isabella Liberato was the beneficiary of The Lang Family scholarship. TeNeeyah Thomas received the Kim-Adele Rosner Young Woman of Leadership and Vision Scholarship. We are incredibly grateful to our amazing donors. Thanks to their generosity, Nyack Center was able to award over $22,000 in scholarships this year. Congratulations to all our scholarship recipients and the Class of 2026!

Our kids created birds out of recycled cardboard in art with Ms. Maiya. Each one with its own decorations and colors, many with special messages of love or favorite things hidden under their wings. Art is part of Health and Wellness in Nyack’s Centers after school time.

The 22nd Annual Community Cooking did not disappoint thanks to the amazing food by celebrity chefs from Didier Dumas, Karendarya, Maura’s Kitchen, The King and I and all our chefs! This years aprons from our sponsor Sniff a Pickle go to Best Celebrity Choice Tom & Kris Burns and Ken Goodman, Best Dessert-Miles & Maiya Burke, Best Entree-Terence & Claudia,Best Kids-Gabe, Best Appetizer-Adam Weinstock. We’re looking for responsible, safety-focused team members who enjoy working with children and helping create a fun, supportive camp environment. This is a great opportunity for strong swimmers who want meaningful summer work outdoors. July 6-August 21.

We are back! Kids & Family Fun Fest will be part of the celebration again at Pride Sunday on June 14. Join us for arts and crafts, face painting, games, kids art show, dancing, dress ups and selfie station. $5 for kids and free for their grown ups. Doors open following the Pride parade. This is a collaboration of Nyack Center and Creative Arts Workshop! 🌈
