Elmwood is thrilled to be part of Rockland Pride Sunday in Nyack ! On Sunday June 14, you can find the Elmwood booth on the corner of Main and Park, (just a block away from the actual theater!) Stop by and say hello!
We're happy to be a part of this wonderful day under any circumstances, but this year is especially exciting because a beloved Elmwoodian , David Julin, is the Grand Marshall of the parade!!! Congratulations David on this well-deserved honor. We'll be cheering you on!

Announcing auditions for the first production of Elmwood's 80th season! Auditions are June 16 and 17 at 7 pm at Elmwood Playhouse in Nyack. Performance dates are weekends September 18 thru October 10 (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays with possible Wednesdays and Thursdays) Seeking 3 male, 3 female actors for this outrageous comedy with the ghost of legendary actor John Barrymore haunting a successful television actor. Chaos ensues as they battle over questions of art, fame, ambition, and romance.

The first national Memorial Day was observed on May 30, 1868 (although there were smaller local "Decoration Day" events earlier). Congress established Memorial Day as a federal holiday in a law that took effect in 1971. In 2000, Congress established a National Moment of Remembrance asking all Americans to pause for one minute at 3 pm to honor and reflect on those who died in service.
If you wish to join with others in the community to observe Memorial Day, Nyack Mayor Joe Rand shared a list of local events in Rockland honoring those who gave their lives in service of their country.

We tried to warn you! Word is out about this hilarious play at Elmwood Playhouse in Nyack and tickets are disappearing faster than an innocent fugitive running from the law. There are (as of this writing) only 12 tickets for Friday May 22 at 8 pm, ONE ticket for Saturday May 23 at 8 pm, and ONE ticket for Sunday May 24 at 2 pm. But all is not lost! There are two more weekends of this fast-paced Hitchcock spoof. If you move fast you can still get tix!The 39 Steps is onstage at Elmwood weekends through June 6, with a Thursday night performance on June 4. Don't miss it!

The talented cast of The 39 Steps at Elmwood Playhouse played to packed houses on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. And before we knew it, we were bringing down the lights on opening weekend. Fortunately, Rob Eigenbrod, Traci Redmond Christine Speer Gnieski, and Rob Webber will return to the Elmwood stage for 9 more performances. And the work of Nyack Art Collective remains on exhibit in our lobby gallery throughout the run. Directed at Elmwood by Margaret Young, this hilarious production is a fast-paced and fun spy spoof that the NY Times calls "absurdly entertaining." Don't miss it!
