There will be a few changes here and there, but it is up and available!!
Thanks so much to Anne Glo for all her time and effort on our behalf! After 17.5 years, a website!!

There are many ways you can help out- in the thrift store, driving animals to their veterinarian appointments or walking dogs and hanging out with kittens at the kennel!

Gave the shelter dogs a walk last evening. They love it so much, but what they would really love is a forever home and family! They want to be your best friend! They will encourage you to get outside and get some exercise! They will love you unconditionally! Will you?? Update: a foster home has been found! 🥰

Foster home needed!!
In trying to help another organization that is overwhelmed with puppies...
Is there anyone able to take on a medium size momma and 7 littles that are almost 6 weeks old? We will provide food and other things you may need/ if you can open your home to help those in need. It's around a 3 month commitment. Could be shorter.

local folks!
Hoof and Paw is the vendor for 3 of the Gymkhana nights this year. Proceeds from it will go towards our goal of getting additional housing for adoptable cats at the Hoof and Paw Thrift Store.
Come watch the events and give support to the Tabeguache Trail Riders and their efforts with the kids, and eat some good burgers/Frito pies, etc. We will have more information available for the “Caturita” below and on site.

H&P has grown significantly in the last few years as more people have come to know our services. This greater awareness is something we are thrilled about but it also means we have outgrown our facilities. H&P would like to purchase a converted Conex to create a space for adoptable felines and convert the space we currently have to an intake/isolation room for incoming felines. As well, we can create a welcoming space for potential adopters to meet the kitties and create play spaces for them to get breaks out of their kennels. We would locate the Conex next to our conveniently located thrift store which would allow more people to meet & greet our cats than is an option at our shelter. We have recently begun raising money for this project and will continue until we have a completed project, we anticipate completion in the Winter of 2026

Update: This dog was returned to it's owner 🥰

This dog was found up on 25 Mesa Rd. It is looking for it's owner. The people who found the dog, traveled back and forth, looking for someone who might own it.

Energetic individuals who enjoy hiking are needed to volunteer at our shelter. We have a lot happening here and it would be a huge help to have people come and walk our dogs. Shifts are available in the morning and evening. Volunteers would take 2-3 dogs out at a time, walking them and then returning to collect more until all dogs are cared for. If interested, please call Hoof and Paw at 970 428 4663 or 970 428 7568 to arrange a schedule. The dogs will greatly benefit from your time.
