As we continue seeking the Lord and paying attention to the needs of those around us, we’re reminded that while God’s Word never changes, the way we reach and serve people sometimes does.
After spending time in prayer and conversation, we’ve made the decision to direct our focus/time toward other needs in the community/church. While we value teaching the children in our community. We want to do that in a genuine safe way that exposes them to the spirit of God in an authentic way. At this time the Lord is leading in a different direction than our annual Vacation Bible School (VBS). However, we believe the Lord is leading us in this direction, and we want to be faithful to His voice.
Our desire is not to hold on to a tradition simply because it’s what we’ve always done. Instead, we want to follow where God is leading and be intentional about how we minister to the children, youth, and families in our community.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll continue praying, meeting, and seeking the Lord as we make plans for the future. We would love for you to join us in prayer as we ask God to give us wisdom and clear direction for what lies ahead.
Thank you for your prayers, your understanding, and for walking this journey with us. We trust that God has a purpose in every step, and we’re excited to see what He has in store.
