The applications were mailed Aug. 17th for the Novinger Country Christmas Craft Festival and Holiday Bazaar on November 21st. Please reach out to us at 660-342-6455 if you haven't received it yet or would like to be a first-time participant this year.

Preserving Novinger’s rich history and keeping our community traditions alive takes all of us—and Novinger Renewal needs YOU on the team!

Projects and activities include:
• Historic Preservation - Maintaining local landmarks for future generations such as the Log Homestead, former Methodist Church (1903) and caboose
• Community Center - Maintaining the large facility for use by the community members at a low-cost fee and allowing free use by other local, non-profits and for school activities
• Community Events - Supporting local vendors, family events, and holiday traditions, i.e. Country Christmas Craft Festival, Holiday Bazaar, Celebrating Christmas thru Music, Ice Cream Social and Puzzle Party
• Civic Pride: Keeping Novinger strong, connected, and welcoming via quarterly newsletters, maintenance of properties and organizing events such as Volunteer Day

With the heat index currently at 111 degrees the decision has been made not to open the log homestead this afternoon. Please note that appointments can be made to view the homestead most days by calling 660-342-6455.

Plans are to have the Novinger Log Homestead open tomorrow from 2-4. This may be weather dependent as there is no electricity or air conditioning in the cabin. Please check our FB page again tomorrow just after noon to see if a cancellation is posted before planning to come. The Coal Miners Museum is also scheduled to be open at the same time as of now.
