Miss Sunrise Side

Highlighting phases from the 2026 Miss Michigan competition 💚🌱

For my onstage questions, I was able to talk about growing green bean seeds with students and building a life long love of growing gardens and healthy habits. I also shared my passion for service and how important it is to me, especially as Miss Sunrise Side. Service has shaped this past year for me, will continue to shape many years to come, and I am honored to have had so many experiences that allowed me to speak from my heart 🌅🤍🫶🏼

Ali,

As Miss Sunrise Side weekend approaches, I want to thank you for everything you’ve done this year for both Alana and I. Without you, this year would not have been possible 🫶🏼

You are dependable, the kindest and gentlest soul, and someone who cares so deeply. I am so grateful for you! The Sunrise Side is so lucky to have you, and I’m even luckier. Thank you for all of the prep work, opinions, group meetings, and being there through it all 🌅🤍

Of course, I am so glad Alana had you by her side all year. I also want to thank you for all you have done for her. Her first and last teen title was so special because of you 🥰

Love you bunches, and thank you for such an amazing year 🫶🏼🌅☀️🤍

Today marks one year representing the Sunrise Side 🌅🤍

The four years I drove up to compete for Miss Sunrise Side, I always drove by this mural in Standish — the “Gateway to the Sunrise Side.” The next day, on my birthday, I had the honor of driving back down through the gateway city, past this mural, newly crowned as Miss Sunrise Side after years of dedication and growth.

I remember feeling incredibly inspired and experiencing an overwhelming sense of joy as I drove back home. Knowing that every city I drove through, every community I saw, and every person I talked to would be a part of my journey over the next year was a dream come true! That is why this mural is so special to me. It let me know we’d made it to the Sunrise Side, and it always made me excited to see it again after we left because I knew so many amazing experiences awaited me upon my return 🫶🏼

I am forever grateful for this past year, and for the Sunrise Side. Thank you for everything ☀️🤍

I have been going through photos for my Miss Sunrise Side 2025 farewell, and I came across these from the 4th of July Weekend! 💙🇺🇸

One thing I have found so much joy in when traveling to the Sunrise Side is seeing the various Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox statues. This one is my favorite, if you can’t tell 🐂🪓🍎💙🌲

The Sunrise Side is full of so many wonderful things, and I can’t wait to back there in just a few short weeks. Oh, how I will miss it all 🌅🤍
