The 10th Annual Light Up the Sky 5K! 🎆🤍🇺🇸✨🏃🏻‍♀️

Over Memorial Day Weekend, Alana and I visited Presque Isle and handed out medals to kids in the fun run, and those running the 5K! Over 150 people ran to help fundraise for their annual 4th of July fireworks, and we were honored to be a part of this event and cheer on the runners! 🤍

We even got to cheer on a three-legged chocolate lab who ran the whole 5K and crossed the finish line (swipe to see a picture of how cute he is) 😭😍

Thank you to our little helper Charlie for handing out medals with us and showing us how’s it’s done - she’s a pro! Another huge shout out to Carrie and all of the volunteers who put this event together - it was so wonderful! Thank you for inviting us! 💪🏼👟❤️

Alana and I also got to climb the New Presque Isle lighthouse which is 113 feet tall, and the tallest lighthouse you can climb in the state of Michigan! It was foggy, but still absolutely beautiful ☁️☀️

On Memorial Day, we remember and honor those who gave their lives for our country 🇺🇸🌹✨🤍

This morning, Alana and I attended a Memorial Day ceremony in Mackinaw City while we were visiting for the weekend, recognizing community members who gave everything 🇺🇸💙

Placing roses and flags have always been meaningful to me on Memorial Day, and being able to spend the weekend with members of the community and attending this ceremony was truly special. Remembering their courage and sacrifice is a powerful reminder of what unites us, even in times of turmoil 🤍

We spent our day in a beautiful city, surrounded by an amazing community! It was so special seeing everyone come together in honor of such a meaningful holiday 🇺🇸

Washtenaw County Heart Walk! 💪🏼👟♥️✨

Spent the afternoon surrounded by so many amazing people cheering on walkers, runners, and survivors! I had the opportunity to hand out medals, towels, and water to the 5K run finishers and celebrate their accomplishment🏃🏻‍♀️♥️

Heart Walks make such a positive impact, and I was grateful to be here as a volunteer and advocate 🫶🏼

A full heart after a night of making an impact, and wearing red while doing it🫀✨♥️

American Heart Association Heart Balls help raise awareness and funds for cardiovascular disease, stroke, CPR education, and lifesaving research 🫀

It was so special to be part of the evening as a volunteer helping welcome and check in guests, assist with seating and live auction paddle numbers, and help everything run smoothly before the program began. We also had a ton of fun at clean up, kicking off our shoes, and getting our hands dirty (with candle wax 😆)

I have had the opportunity to volunteer at the Grand Rapids Heart Ball for the past four years, and getting to know so many amazing people has been a blast! Thank you for all you do 🫶🏼

The impact of this event is incredible, and getting to serve alongside my friends made the night even more meaningful ✨

Growing Gardens for Growing Minds 2026 🌱🧠☀️

From not knowing what bulk seed stores were, to being recognized by Governor Whitmer at the State level with a Governor’s Service Award, mailing kits to a YMCA in Arizona, and expanding to three kit types this year to serve more communities, it’s incredible to reflect where this program started, and where it is today six years later 🌱

Growing Gardens for Growing Minds aims to inspire a love for gardening, fruits, and vegetables through hands-on education, free garden kits, and accessible resources that help cultivate lifelong healthy habits in a fun and affordable way 🥕🍉🥒

I could not have done this without my core team of volunteers and community members who participated in fundraisers or donated supplies. It takes a community to serve a community, and I’m truly thankful I am able to continue GG4GM because of you all 🫶🏼

Tip-toed through the tulips at the 97th Tulip Time Volksparade this weekend in Holland! 🌷🤍✨

I had so much fun! This parade is one of my favorites. Not just because tulips are my favorite flower, but because it has been a long standing tradition in my family for the last decade! 🌷

Thank you to my amazing drivers Dee and Dave! For the past four years, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know you both. Thank you to Tamra for this AMAZING blue and white Dutch-inspired dress, and thank you to my mom for hanging out with me all day! How lucky am I to be surrounded by so many amazing people ☺️

Connecting with the community on such a large scale is truly a meaningful experience that I treasure so deeply. I’m so grateful for every conversation, wave, smile, and memory made 🤍
