Most people hold off on making donations to us over the summer months, even though we're active year round. With fall basically here and nighttime temps dropping lower and lower each day, we need to start gearing up our fundraising efforts to provide the supplies needed to live on the streets of Detroit throughout the winter. As always, we are a pro-active, zero-overhead, 100% volunteer homeless services 501c3 charity. We don't set up a table in a park and wait for the homeless to find us, we spend 12-hours driving down alleyways, entering abandoned structures, and searching fields to find the homeless where they are, and hand them the supplies, shake their hands, give them a hug, and take the time to talk with them, and let them know they're deserving of common human decency.
