Are we proclaiming God with our words but not with our actions? What are the ways we are being invited to join the life and story of God with our whole lives?

Today we acknowledge and celebrate Indigenous People's Day.
American Indians, Alaskan Natives, and Native Hawaiians have built beautiful and vibrant cultures full of diversity, and their language, traditions, and knowledge should not be lost or forgotten.

This land we call home was home to many before it was "discovered," and there is much to lament that has been lost to those native to this land. We lament the ways our country has contributed, passively or actively, throughout history to such losses, and we commit as a community to listening well and working toward communal flourishing as we continue forward.

As a part of this commitment we acknowledge the land on which our building sits, which was originally home to the Anishinabewaki, Potawatomi, Mississauga, Peoria, and Wyandot peoples.

May we celebrate and honor Indigenous Peoples and their many contributions!

Where are we good at practicing hospitality? And where are we lacking in practicing the wide welcome of God?

Join us tomorrow, Sunday, October 4th, as we celebrate World Communion Sunday!
At Meadowbrook we practice an open table as we seek to embody the wide welcome of God, so whoever you are and wherever you are on life's journey, you're welcome celebrate communion with us. And this Sunday is particularly special as we join with so many others around the world in practicing this special time of remembrance together. May we embody Christ's welcome not only this day, but every day in our actions with one another!
Service begins at 10:00 AM | Join us in person or online.
