/ Wheaton Academy State Champion, Michael Lavelle, is a crafty lefty finisher who is able to score and go through contact with ease. His play has earned him the D2 Showcase Impact Player and All-Star recognition. Michael is aiming to have yet another successful season on the field and in the classroom!

Congratulations to Team Illinois 2028 defender Daniel Hong (Portsmouth Abbey School / Glenview, IL) on being named to the Team USA U17 National Team! At 6'3", 200 lbs., Daniel is an absolute force on the field who dominates his matchups, slides to kill, and can push the ball in transition. Another Illinois product proving that he IS one of the best in the country.

More Prep Lacrosse love for the 2028s! Evan Mazur has been named one of the Best in the Midwest: Five More 2028s to Know.

Their write-up calls him a behind-the-cage QB presence in a class that lacks them — smooth, efficient, always in attack mode, with the creativity as a passer to keep everyone on their toes and the willingness to stick his nose in the dirt for the tough ground balls.

Another 2028 turning heads! Prep Lacrosse named Lucas Beck one of the Top 2028 Middies from the IMLCA Winter Players Summit.

Lucas made an immediate statement — scoring on his first touch of the day and finishing a hat trick before halftime. The write-up says it all: he dodges with bad intentions (in the best way possible), brings physicality and ferocity from the outside, and has plenty of tools college coaches would love to develop.

Big recognition for one of our own! Prep Lacrosse named Team Illinois 2028 attackman Grant Gagnon one of its Five Midwest 2028 Offensive Weapons to Know.

After a spring with 56 goals, 54 assists, and Conference Player of the Year honors, Grant's earned every bit of it. In Prep Lacrosse's words, his highlight tape is full of goals where he looks dead to rights — then slips past the double and finishes anyway.

The secret's out on this "hidden gem." Prep Lacrosse named Team Illinois 2028 defenseman Grant Gundlach (Lake Forest) one of its Midwest Hidden Gems: Five Defenders to Know.

Their write-up says it best: a straight-up takeaway defender whose feet let him mirror dodgers, whose left-handedness keeps him on hands — and when ball carriers get lazy, he pounces. Add his ground ball strength and stick skills, and he's got the versatility to play LSM too.

Lefty attack/mid Luca Lignelli has been making moves this summer! Luca has an incredibly strong box lacrosse background, a big frame, and a great combination of athleticism and lacrosse IQ that has earned him invites to Juniors Open and the New Balance All-American Midwest team in addition to a ton of D1 interest. Luca is looking to have another solid year in the classroom and on the field this fall after what will be a busy September recruiting season.

💪Grant Gagnon - Attack/Midfielder - The Maverick Showtime Invitee and Conference Player of the Year has been making serious moves during the summer season. His ability to score from anywhere on the field has helped him achieve 2nd Team All-State and All-Conference honors. His phone will be busy come September!
