Age + Disability Friendly Novato is a group of local folks helping Novato with two important tasks:
● Regain our AARP Age-Friendly Designation
● Developing a plan to ensure Novato is both Age AND Disability
friendly

Age + Disability Friendly Novato is relaunching as a collaboration between community members and the City of Novato. We are a citizen group of volunteers working in partnership with

the City towards achieving an Age Friendly Community designation from AARP’s Network of Age-Friendly Communities and the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Global Network of Age Friendly Cities and Communities as well as making our City friendly for people with disabilities and their caregivers. We will be raising community awareness, asking for your input, assessing the strengths and needs of our community, and drafting a strategic plan to influence the health and quality of life for residents of all ages and abilities. Join us in this conversation to create a vibrant, safe and inclusive community in Novato with a welcoming atmosphere in which to live, work, shop, play, and thrive.
