The Ed Stark Award recognizes a Leadership Novato participant who exemplifies outstanding leadership, community involvement, and commitment to making a lasting difference in Novato. The award is named after Ed Stark, who founded Leadership Novato in 1990 to help develop informed, engaged, and effective community leaders.

As part of the Leadership Novato program, Kristen and her Team Pioneer took on an ambitious service project: raising funds and overseeing the renovation of the art room at North Marin Community Services. The team exceeded its fundraising goals, engaged local community partners throughout the process, and successfully transformed the space into a vibrant, functional environment that better supports NMCS's programs and clients. Their achievement is a powerful example of what can be accomplished through collaboration, leadership, and a shared commitment to serving the community.
