We are counting down to our Fall Ball on October 24 at the Corinthian Yacht Club. This year’s celebration promises to be a wonderful evening of community, connection, and giving, all in support of the local organizations doing extraordinary work for young people throughout Marin.

The auction is shaping up to be one you won’t want to miss! Guests will have the opportunity to bid on some truly memorable experiences, including an African safari, an experience at Wing & Barrel Ranch, and a weekend getaway in Healdsburg, with even more surprises to come.

The VIP hour: the room where it happens
From 5 to 6 PM, in the best room of the Corinthian Yacht Club with the best view of Tiburon Bay. The VIP cocktail hour is an hour before the main event, for VIP ticket holders only. Not a bigger version of the party, a different kind of time. Slower, smaller, made for actual conversation and connection.

Two reasons to be in that room:

One, you’ll meet the team leading this year’s main auction item 7-night Kenya safari. Ask questions, hear what the trip is really like. This isn’t a fixed itinerary. It’s a fully customizable experience, built around what you and your group want, and the VIP hour is your chance to start shaping that in person with Next Adventure

We are thrilled to announce that registration for the 2026 Marin Charitable Fall Ball is now open. Join us for an elegant evening of exploration, community, and impact at the stunning Corinthian Yacht Club in Tiburon.

Great Expedition is our theme this year - think Casablanca, vintage maps, compass roses, the romance of faraway places, and the thrill of discovery via land or sea - all set against the breathtaking backdrop of Tiburon Bay.

Early Bird Pricing: $200 per person
Available now through September 15th only.

General Admission: $225 per person (after September 15th)

In the summer of 2025, Marin Charitable lost one of our own. Sara Walker, a beloved member since 2016, passed away along with her husband Mark and son Johnny in the devastating floods that swept through Central Texas. Those of us who knew Sara remember her warmth, her generosity, and her deep love of the outdoors and nature. Her loss shook our community to its core. Sara is survived by her daughter, Ellie, who remains in our hearts and thoughts.

In the weeks that followed, our members came together to do what Sara would have done: turn grief into action. We raised $3,000, created The Sara Walker Grant, and directed it toward an organization whose mission Sara would have championed wholeheartedly.

That organization is the Bolinas Stinson Young Stewards of the Land.

This past July, The Sara Walker Grant helped make their Young Stewards Wilderness Excursion better: a six-day backpacking expedition into the Trinity Alps near Mt. Eddy for ten young people ages 11 to 17. The grant allowed the program to expand from its usual four days to six, and to bring a robust team of adult guides along for the journey.

And, it’s witnessing the remarkable relationships within the natural world…small, tender exchanges that somehow feel both unfamiliar and deeply recognizable.

This year’s Fall Ball will feature an extraordinary 7-night luxury Kenyan safari for two, generously made possible through our dear friends at Next Adventure and their exceptional safari partners. Their generosity has created an opportunity for one fortunate bidder to experience the wonder, beauty, and perspective that make Africa unlike anywhere else on earth.
