🚧 PennDOT Multimodal Transportation Grants Open September 14

Chester County townships planning road, bridge, pedestrian, bicycle, streetscape, or other transportation improvements should note an upcoming funding opportunity.

Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will accept applications for its FY 2027–28 Multimodal Transportation Fund from September 14 through October 30, 2026. Municipalities are eligible applicants, and the program supports projects that improve transportation assets, pedestrian safety, community connectivity, and transit revitalization.

For township officials, this is a good time to review capital improvement plans and identify transportation projects that may be competitive for state funding. 🛣️

🚧 **Local Roads & Conservation: Chester County Meeting Ahead**

The Chester County Conservation District will hold its Dirt, Gravel and Low Volume Road Quality Assurance Board meeting on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 11:00 AM–12:00 PM** at the Conservation District.

For township officials and public works staff, Pennsylvania's Dirt, Gravel and Low Volume Road program is an important resource for addressing road drainage, erosion, sediment, and environmentally sensitive maintenance practices. Staying connected with the county program can help municipalities identify potential projects and better understand available technical and funding resources. 🚜

Townships with qualifying road projects may want to make sure their public works and administrative teams are familiar with the program.
