Summer is here and for the next few months, our Elementary friends will be going in a quest… a Kingdom Quest! We began our quest this past weekend, and had our first “Kingdom Quest Day”, which are extra special Sundays that will be woven throughout our regular curriculum. Read more about our quest below and then make plans to come along with us as we seek out the greatest treasure (and it isn’t a chest full of gold coins)!

Our brains are hard-wired to understand the world in terms of story, so when Jesus told stories, He gave His followers a chance to wrestle with deep truths. He challenged them to discover how those truths could apply to their daily lives. Through many of these parables, Jesus painted a picture of what God’s kingdom is like and how each one of us can pursue and be a part of it.

Last Sunday, we discovered that Jesus is the way! Take some time this week to have everyone in your family answer this question “what are some ways that we can follow Jesus?” and follow along with us by looking up this week’s Bible story.

C3 fam, the highlight of your summer is coming up THIS Sunday!! We’ve got a BIG day planned on Sunday, June 14th as we kick off the summer with a huge party, CCC-style. Join us during and after each service for food trucks, a big ‘ole tent in the back parking lot with tables and chairs, inflatables for the kids, face paint, balloon art, lawn games, and a baptism celebration that day. You won’t want to miss it! For a line up of food trucks and all the other details, check out the link below. See you there! 😎

Summer is here and for the next couple months, we’ll be going in a quest… a Kingdom Quest! Check out below what Preschool has going on in June and then come along with us as we seek out the greatest treasure (and it isn’t a chest full of gold coins)!

Jesus prayed “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). God’s kingdom is so important, and it isn’t something just for our future in heaven. God’s kingdom is here - wherever God’s people are doing what God wants us to do. And God wants everyone, including our Preschoolers, to be part of it. So this month, we are going to listen to Jesus tell stories about tiny seeds, a lost coin, and hidden treasure to help our Preschoolers learn that they can be part of God’s kingdom. No armor, swords, or battles required. All we have to do is listen to Jesus. His stories show us what God’s beautiful kingdom is like and how we can be part of it. We want every preschooler to know - and celebrate - this truth: I can be part of God’s kingdom.

Let’s pray for our Preschoolers - that they come to know that God loves them deeply and that God wants them to be part of His kingdom.

This week, we learned that Jesus shows us God’s kingdom. Follow along with us each week by looking up this week’s Bible story. And then take a look at our stories to see how you can further engage with your child this week!
