Although we know we are only in March, April is almost here. That means Christmas is merely 8 months away. Our non profits mission is to be able to provide Christmas to families who otherwise wouldn’t have a Christmas. This could mean small families of maybe 2 or 3 or larger families of 10 and anywhere in between. This Christmas we want you to keep in mind your elderly community. Someone brought that to our attention last year and a sweet girl from our community adopted and delivered on her own, gifts to an elderly lady. We were just the point of contact to connect her to someone that knew an elderly lady who needed some Christmas cheer. We want you to keep in mind for this upcoming season, the elderly. We always take referrals for families and if you know an elderly person who may be living alone or an elderly couple who need some holiday cheer, please let us know! Of course we want to help families with children, but we just thought this was another area we could help with too. It also might spark others to think about the elderly as well. Planning for Christmas starts in August for us. A lot of things have to happen when you’re shopping for so many. We just wanted to be transparent here with what are plans are and what YOU as the community are supporting ♥️

The ONLY pictures we got from yesterday. The calm before the chaos.

We couldn’t have asked for a better bingo event yesterday! We were feeling anxious hosting a bingo in a different venue. A space we weren’t used to. We weren’t used to not having a full kitchen. We had round tables vs only rectangle tables. We had to have a different set up in the front room for checking in. It’s amazing how many moving parts come into play to make an event of this size flow. Maybe some this was their first time at one of our bingos and maybe others you have been to a few before, we definitely tried our very best yesterday.

We want to give a shout out to every single person who volunteered yesterday. In whatever shape or form, we thank you! We couldn’t do this with out each of you. Truly, we are thankful for such a great team of friends and family to help us. From set up, running errands, tear down, food prep and food service, baking/cooking items, running around like a crazy person. Dealing with high stress at times and total chaos, we are beyond blessed to have such caring people in our corner ♥️

We want to also thank our guests, what a fun crowd! We truly put our everything into these events because we want you to have fun. We hope that you did!!

Lastly, we want to thank the barn of Nottingham. What a top notch facility to host an event. We have never felt so seen or understood or cared for hosting an event, like I did yesterday and through out the entire planning process. Kudos to Mallory, their event manager. I mean this lady just goes above and beyond like I’ve never experienced with event managers. She’s a true gem that made this event process smooth and successful. She is so nice too and that’s an understatement. She truly cares about her event hosts and it showed. We also had 2 “barn” employees helping at the event to keep things cleaned up and running smoothly and they were on it. They didn’t let the trash overflow, they didn’t miss anything. We are looking forward to our November bingo which is a G*U*N bingo, at the same location. Stay tuned for ticket info to come later.

PS- we had probably 30+ people reach out over the last 4-5 days and even the day of (yesterday) trying to purchase tickets for our event. We felt bad having to turn folks away. We have a capacity number we have to stick to. Our guests comfort is our #1 priority. We don’t want anyone feeling crammed or uncomfortable. We strongly suggest getting tickets in advance for our next bingo, save the date awhile November 14th! Ticket price for that bingo will vary from $50-$75, we have to work with a supplier on pricing and make sure we compile a prize list that is what our guests would like. Another Saturday evening and also BYOB again!! This bingo will be 18+ only.

And just for fun, if your still here and you came to bingo yesterday, comment your favorite thing about bingo or offer a compliment to a staff member- we will pull 1 lucky winner that will get 2 free tickets for our November bingo 😘

This weekend was pickups for those families who we (Southern Hope Foundation) adopted this holiday season. I would personally like to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helped with this in any way. You truly are a blessing to this community and we appreciate you more than we can ever express. The need was great and TOGETHER we showed up and made it happen!

So, on behalf of myself, Brittany and Cathy, THANK YOU!

We wish you all the blessings that life brings and hope your holiday season is full of love, laughter, peace, hope and joy.

Just a few weeks ago, our lobby tree was filled with wish tags. 🎄 Today, it’s surrounded by gifts for every single one of them. 🎁

Thanks to our incredible team, every wish from the Southern Hope Foundation's sponsored families has been fulfilled. From toys to essentials, each package is a reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with generosity and heart.

Here’s to giving back, spreading kindness, and making Christmas a little more joyful for others.

We take a lot of pride in what we do for Christmas. I think the main thing we want to share is that we are here for the kids. The kids to get their Christmas magic. We don’t just have a cap on gifting. We don’t just say, oh here’s a couple toys. We try to make sure we fulfill the child’s wish list (and then some). Christmas is such a magical time. We want these kids to feel that magic. We go ABOVE AND BEYOND for these kids. When parents come to pick up, we really want to wow them too. Like kids are on Christmas morning. I think that’s what sets us apart or at least I hope it does. This isn’t about just handing out a few toys to a family and wishing them well. We really want to create magic for them. Help them. I think we have done a good job so far. We put hours into this year round to make it work. Some months are harder than other months. I just figured I would share that with you all as we have been here off and on all week preparing to spread Christmas cheer to families soon ♥️♥️ We are thankful to be able to provide Christmas on such a phenomenal level to families this season 🎄🎅🏼🧑🏼‍🎄

Christmas sneak peek! We are starting to separate and box up families that are adopted for Christmas! We just wanted to share an update here. Stay tuned for more updates over the next week. Soon we won’t be able to walk anywhere in the office. We can’t wait to spread the Christmas magic to other families this Christmas season ♥️🎄🎁
