The Bus is back! Irish great Jerome Bettis re-enrolled at Notre Dame this semester in order to finish his undergraduate degree on campus.

Bettis left the University in 1993 for the NFL, where he went on to have a Hall of Fame career and win a Super Bowl championship.

In addition to his accomplishments on the gridiron, Bettis left a legacy by giving the gift of Notre Dame through a Grant-In-Aid Scholarship. The Jerome and Trameka Bettis Family Football Runningback Grant-In-Aid is an endowed scholarship generously provided by the Bettis family for a runningback on the football team.

The most recent recipient of the Bettis Family Grant-In-Aid was Kyren Williams, who will be following in The Bus’ footsteps by entering the NFL draft this spring.

Meet the Team Monday and Happy Birthday collide! We want to recognize Melissa Lechlitner-Lewis-Lewis today. Melissa serves as Regional Director of Athletics Advancement, and radiates an obvious passion and love for all-things Notre Dame. A former Irish basketball star, she brings a competitive edge and leadership skillset that elevates our team daily. Happy Birthday, Melissa!

It was great to visit the new Hyer Family Dryland Diving Center with Sean (‘94), Tracy (‘94) and their kids Sean and Megan. Their benefaction made this game-changing facility possible - continuing the legacy Sean began as a record-setting diver for the Irish. As you can see, he’s still got it!

Heading into the last home football week of the year, we are beyond thankful for the many relationships we maintain with our ND family. While our generous benefactors show up for 6 football games in the fall, they show up year round in support of Notre Dame and our student-athletes🍀Go Irish!

An amazing weekend cheering on the Irish with our Athletics Advancement family! We were fortunate enough to host some our gracious benefactors in the suite for football vs UNC; while our own Kevin Nugent lead a Friday night tailgate in Minnesota to support the hockey team! We always love to experience an Irish victory, but even more-so when in the company of those who provide so much for our student-athletes☘️

As our athletes continue to develop, it is paramount that we provide them with the necessary tools to excel both on and off the field. Yesterday, we were able to join in the blessing of our newly renovated bullpen courtesy of Steve Finelli ‘79. Benefactors like Steve allow us to keep our athletes safe during training in order to perform at the highest level on the field and beyond☘️
