👉 We’re looking for a 5K Director (Seasonal Position).
Girls on the Run Greater Cincinnati is looking for an experienced event coordinator to lead our two annual 5K celebrations, which are the highlight of each season for thousands of girls, families, and community members.
This part-time, seasonal role is perfect for someone who thrives on bringing large-scale community events to life and enjoys a flexible, teacher-like schedule. The 5K Director oversees all aspects of our spring and fall 5Ks, from logistics and vendor management to volunteer coordination and participant experience.
We’re looking for someone who:
• Is highly organized, decisive, and calm under pressure
• Brings creativity and efficiency to event planning
• Communicates clearly with vendors, partners, and volunteers
• Has experience in event or race management (connections in the Cincinnati event community are a plus!)
• Shares our belief in empowering girls through movement, confidence, and connection
This role averages about 15 hours per week during the planning months, with increased hours (close to full time) leading up to each 5K. The summer is considered “off” for this employee, as this position follows a teacher-like schedule.
