Last night at our meeting we inducted our new officers for the year. Missing from photo was Twyla Hermann and Miriam Brelje. We also gave out the following awards: Top Dog Award - Sandy Timm; Dreamcatcher Award - Sharon Beneke; Kidsight Award - Cathleen Williams; Hearing Foundation Award - Pat Clark; Melvin Jones - Mary Balzum. Thank you for all you do for our club and community.

NYA clothing drive is coming in July. Save your unwanted clothing, hats, gloves, scarves, ties, purses, belts, shoes,bed and bath linens and other cloth materials. We will take luggage as well.

Tomorrow is the big day for our plant sale. Trailer is full of hanging baskets, patio containers, 4 inch pots of annuals and perennials. Sale starts at 7:30 am. Come down to Home Solutions parking lot and pick up some great flowers. You can get either hot or cold coffee and baked treats too from Ali B’s.

It was geranium day at Peace Village. The ladies had fun repotting the flowers into pots to give out at The Harbor, The Haven and Peace Villa. Come and find some great quality plants at the NYA West Carver plant sale on Saturday May 9th. Rain or shine in the Home Solution parking lot. 7:30 am until sold out. This year Ali B’s will be there too with cold or hot drinks and baked goods!

Congratulations to Lion Carrol Oraskovich being presented the Kidsight Sight Saver Award at the Lions 5M2 Zone 2 meeting last night. Such a deserved award for Carrol who has worked very hard for our club with the Kidsight program in our local schools.
