On March 4th, TVCCA went to the Navy! WIC’s Yinori O’Campo, pictured here with US Sub Base nurse Susan McKelvy, gave a presentation to families stationed at the base regarding all the supports that our WIC program can provide, including healthy nutrition classes. WIC often collaborates at the Anchor Landing Community Center outside the Base; this was their first time “inside,” and the room was packed! Thanks to the Sub Base for helping us promote good family nutrition!

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made our Legacy Gala a night to remember! Over 100 guests were entertained at the Eolia Mansion at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford Saturday in honor of TVCCA’s milestone 60th Anniversary. There was a lot of mingling, a delicious buffet, and bursts of spontaneous dancing that continued well after the last raffle winner was announced. CEO Josh Kelly thanked those in attendance, who included many of the evening’s generous sponsors, area legislators, partner agencies, and of course TVCCA team members. Josh read a proclamation from Governor Lamont; State Representatives Nick Menapace and Nick Gauthier also addressed the crowd. Honored guest Norwich City Mayor Swarnjit Singh presented Norwich’s proclamation praising TVCCA’s many years of service and designating March 16-21 “TVCCA Week” in Norwich. So the celebration continues!

Thanks so much to the Eastern CT Association of Realtors for their generous support of TVCCA's Senior Nutrition program. Senior Nutrition Director Eugene Theroux (center) accepted a check for $1,000 at today's celebration from (L to R) Susy Hurlbert, CEO of ECAR, Board members Cheryl Guillot (Centreville Bank), Christine Derham (William Pitt Sotheby's Int'l), Stacey Wyeth (William Pitt Sotheby's Int'l), Stefanie Bishop, ECAR Community Outreach Staff Liaison, Board member Eileen Godburn (Century 21 Shutters and Sails), and Dan Contino, ECAR President. ECAR has been a wonderful friend and partner and has helped us make sure that seniors in eastern CT receive nutritious meals and remain as independent as possible.

Need help enrolling in Access Health plans? TVCCA will be on site at this event tomorrow to help you navigate the Access Health CT (AHCT) enrollment process.

UCFS will be hosting this AHCT enrollment event to assist individuals who may have questions or concerns about the new State Health Insurance Assistance options for 2026 coverage, or who need help enrolling in AHCT plans.

Location: UCFS – 47 Town Street, Norwich (Community Room)

AHCT enrollment specialists will be on site to help with enrollment and answer questions regarding coverage options. With the Special Enrollment Period timeline still uncertain, this event presents a timely opportunity for community members to receive direct assistance.

TVCCA was out celebrating in full swing at the Norwich St. Patrick’s Day Parade yesterday on Main Street! It was great to see everyone out and celebrating the day! Thanks to our own Sherry Perkins for allowing us to use her Jeep as a float, and to her husband Rick, who helped decorate the Pot o’ Gold mobile!
