At our meeting this week we met with Smart Energy Choices to learn about the variety of programs they offer to residents. If you are looking to save money on home heating and electricity bills, reach out to them! You may qualify for the Empower+ program! https://smartenergychoices.org/

That’s a wrap on our 5th Annual Community Cleanup!

With support from the Chenango County Soil and Water Conservation District, we were able to provide supplies and coordinate trash removal for 10 cleanups across Chenango County. While we’re unsure of the total amount collected from roadsides, trails, parks, and the river, one thing is clear; our volunteers made a huge impact in keeping trash out of our vital waterways!

A big thank you to everyone who showed up and pitched in. We couldn’t do this without you, and we’re already looking forward to the next one!

Happy Earth Day!

Looking for a way to make a real impact right here in Chenango County? Join us for the 5th Annual Chenango County Community Cleanup Day on Saturday, May 2nd!

This year, volunteers will be focusing their efforts on cleaning the Chenango River Trails. We will be holding a kickoff meeting at the Weiler Park Pavilion at 8:00am, and heading out to the trails from there. Gloves and bags will be provided.

The Chenango County Environmental Management Council is partnering with students from Colgate University to launch a Chenango County Community Engagement and Volunteerism Survey!

This survey is designed to better understand how residents get involved in their communities, what opportunities matter most, and how we can strengthen local engagement across Chenango County.

Your input will help shape future programs, volunteer opportunities, and community initiatives.

This is no April Fools joke, join us the Chenango County Community Cleanup Day!

Help us keep our parks, trails, sidewalks, and public spaces looking their best! On Saturday, May 2, 2026, we're inviting community members across Chenango County to take part in a county-wide cleanup effort.

We are looking for volunteers to step up as cleanup stewards, who will organize and lead a small cleanup in a space you care about. Whether it's your favorite park, trail, or neighborhood sidewalk, every effort makes a difference!

Supplies like gloves and trash bags will be provided. Please ensure all cleanups are held in publicly accessible spaces.
