Norwell Firefighters Local 2700

The Norwell Fire Department is offering free home safety inspections for Norwell's older residents, including smoke and CO2 detectors, grab bars, and other safety concerns. Inspections are available through Monday, August 31 and can be scheduled by call Capt. Sean Ford at 781-659-8158.

This program is made possible through a Senior Safe Grant.

The passing of a single firefighter is tremendously difficult and unfortunate. Three line of duty deaths this close to home is almost unthinkable.

Behind every uniform is a person. In this case husbands, fathers, sons, brothers, friends and members of professional community.

From all of us at Local 2700, our hearts are with their departments and every firefighter across Massachusetts who is suffering.

May their families find peace and know that their names and memories will not be forgotten.

The Norwell Fire fighters joined other unions in town including the and to oppose the use of Massachusetts general law chapter 32b sections 21-23 to negotiate healthcare co pays and deductible changes to their policies.

This disgusting use of a law to bully away benefits from hardworking employees will not go unnoticed.

Be sure to contact your to stop balancing their fiscally irresponsible budget on the backs of Norwell Union Employees.
