MIRRORS AND MEMORIES: five short plays by Linda Britt, inspired by Norman Rockwell paintings.

GIRL AT THE MIRROR: Recognize that teenage sass? A mother and teen daughter are both battling insecurities and all the changes that come with growing up. Katie (Kennedy Wilson) knows exactly how to push Mom’s buttons, and Mom (Holly Hill) is just looking for a little validation of her choices. Can they find common ground before the evening is ruined for both of them?

MEET THE CAST

Sandra Fickett (Ruth/Doris) has spent time on the stage in many community theaters. Favorites include Ouiser in Steel Magnolias, Marie Donahue in Papermaker, Cassandra in Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, and Maude in Four Old Broads. Sandra and her husband live in Buckfield, where they own and operate Tilton’s Market.

Phil Cosman (George) was born in Massachusetts and has lived in New Hampshire and Maryland. Previous roles include Dr. Baugh in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Erroneous (his favorite) in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and Friar Lawrence in Romeo and Juliet. He is really enjoying his OHMPAA debut!

MEET THE CAST

Liam Bell (Pete) was born and raised in the Oxford Hills. Liam has been in OHMPAA’s Our Town, Amahl and the Night Vistors, and The Wind in the Willows. He was also in the OHSCBS production of Cinderella. Liam is a 911 dispatcher for the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office.

Costumer Kyah Morrissette: I’ve really enjoyed taking inspiration from Norman Rockwell’s paintings, and emulating his style and color palette in each of the vignettes. I’d love to costume another show that recreates paintings in this way.
