Yesterday, our Young Marines, Recruits, and Adult Volunteers participated in the 41st Annual Arturo Sanchez Sr. Halloween Parade. They demonstrated their marching skills, as well as their discipline and motivation. Thank you to all of our families and friends for coming out to support our unit!

CPR Certifications are important, not just for Adult Volunteers, but Young Marines, too!

Not only can our Young Marines earn a ribbon for having a CPR Certification, but they earn knowledge and an invaluable skill to be able to help someone at any given time. They gain the confidence in their training to be willing to help. The hope is always that they don't have to use it, but they have the knowledge and training to do so if needed.

Every wreath purchased serves a dual purpose. First and foremost, each wreath purchased gets placed on the gravesite of a Veteran at . Their name is said out loud, and they are remembered and recognized for their service and sacrifice. Secondly, our unit receives a portion back from each wreath purchased. Those funds are used to help send the kids on fun trips, leadership schools, purchase new and improved training equipment, and purchase supplies needed for the unit.

📣New Unit Appointments 📣

We are pleased to announce the following organizational updates:

Mrs. Jaimee Delgado has been appointed to the Unit Adjutant billet, effective October 1, 2026.

Some of her duties will include: assisting with unit administration, maintaining records and correspondence, supporting the processing of forms and reports, coordinating administrative requirements, and helping ensure timely communication between unit leadership, Young Marines, and parents.

Mr. Tony Beltran has been appointed to the Training Officer billet, effective October 1, 2026.

Some of his duties will include: overseeing the planning, coordination, and ex*****on of unit training, maintaining training schedules, supporting instructor preparation, tracking training requirements, and helping ensure training is conducted safely, consistently, and in accordance with Young Marines program standards.

These appointments will help strengthen unit operations and ensure our Young Marines continue to receive organized, effective support.

Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Delgado and Mr. Beltran on their new roles within the unit.

This weekend, we said Goodbye to our Training Officer of 10 years, Ms. Chantal Salazar.

Ms. Salazar had dedicated 6 years as a Young Marine, and 10 years as an Adult Volunteer. For 16 years, Ms. Salazar made it a point to grow her leadership skills and turn around to pay back to the very unit that helped her. We appreciate all of the time and service to the Young Marines that she had given. Thank you for everything Ms. Salazar, and we wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors!
