Today, we had to say, "Goodbye," to YM/LCpl Rosenthal, D.

After only getting 2 years with us, we have been able to watch him learn, develop, and grow into a strong, disciplined, and driven young man.

YM/LCpl Rosenthal explains what his biggest takeaways were from the Young Marines program, and what his future plans are.

We look forward to hearing about all of your accomplishments in the future. Don't forget to come back and visit. We wish you good luck in all of your endeavors.

After drill, we had a fun pizza party for Rosenthal's discharge and to celebrate promotions. A HUGE shout out to for hosting us and having AMAZING and LOTS of food for these kids! Man, can they eat?! A fun time was had for Rosenthal's last, "Oohrah!"

Part 2: Today was a very long and busy day with a joint community service event with Southeast County Young Marines. Young Marines and Staff gathered together to support Heroes Hall Museum at OC Fair & Event Center in City of Costa Mesa. Young Marines helped with event setup, they provided supervision of an obstacle course, and community engagement. They honored the posting and retirement of colors for the day. They got to have a friendly obstacle course race between the units. Southeast County Young Marines came out on top. They, then, had fun with a cross unit competition of "Tapout" where LCpl Worley Young Marines prevailed. Clearly, we need to put in some more obstacle course work! Great job to all of the Young Marines. Thank you to all staff for supporting the Young Marines for the day! 2nd California Regiment Division 6 Command Team Young Marines

It's Take-Back time! đź’Š

The Whittier Police Department will be hosting a Prescription Drug Take-Back in collaboration with the DEA on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10am - 2pm in front of Whittier Police Department, located at 13200 Penn St.

Bring all loose, expired, and unused medication for curbside drop off. No syringes please! 🙏
