Hello BMHS Community,

Please join Senators’ Success Fund to complete a survey and show that we care about excellence across the NPS in academics, the arts, athletics and service.

Tomorrow, 9/30 is the last day to submit your responses to the survey for the search for Norwalk Public School’s next superintendent.

At the info session for the community last week, it was advised that the Board of Education and the search firm hired to facilitate this recruitment process will use the community’s answers to guide their search and ultimately, their hire.

The survey takes about 6 minutes to complete and it allows you to prioritize the 4 main characteristics that you want in the next superintendent.

BMHS CLUB SPOTLIGHT

Did you know that BMHS has its very own Garden Club?

Stop by the club's Farmer's Market on Parents' Night at BMHS TONIGHT September 15th.

Bring cash (small bills appreciated) and take home corn, peppers, tomatoes, melons, eggplant, beans, cucumbers, flowers and herbs!

Students are encouraged to check out the Garden Club. Go to: google classroom code 5lg25dhs
Meets in the Courtyard adjacent to the Student Lounge right after school on either Wednesdays or Thursdays, weather permitting.

Hello Senator Families!

Every year, the Norwalk Seaport Association requests adult volunteers to help at the Oyster Festival and in return, they give Senators Success Fund a generous donation which will go towards the Post Graduate Party expense.

Please consider volunteering some of your precious time. Let Senators Success Fund know who’s available to volunteer and when @ [email protected]

Volunteer date & time are:
Fri 9/11 6-9pm
Sat 9/12 1 - 8pm
Sun 9/13 12 -5pm

Volunteers will ask a simple survey of guests as they enter the site. Surveys done as people are in line @ entry gate. There are maybe 6 basic questions you will ask & record on an iPad. (I did it last year and questions are like how often to do you attend Oyster Festival? What do you enjoy most? NO PERSONAL INFO. We need 5 adults @ all times. Some dual language would be helpful (English - Spanish)

Welcome BMHS Senator families!

Senator Success Fund parent organization is looking forward to a great 26-27 school year. Our organization supports 4 main objectives throughout the year, which are:
offering our students and families the opportunity to listen to a college admission expert and raise funds to offer scholarships to our seniors; raise funds to thank our BMHS staff during Open House Night and Teacher Appreciation Week in May. We also support our student council with certain items they may request; prepare and raise funds for a senior post graduate party; work alongside BMHS administration for any school improvements that NPS cannot financially cover (past examples: stadium & auditorium sound systems and indoor student lounge area. Currently working on an outdoor student lounge area).

Join us at our first meeting on Monday, September 14 at 6:30PM in the school library.

We send communications via Principal Barbara Woods weekly Sunday newsletters and NPS Parent Square. Also, please follow us on our website Senatorssuccessfund.org
