Norwalk River Rowing Association

Norwalk River Rowing Association Providing the finest rowing on the Norwalk River since 1986. We are dedicated to growing a love of rowing regardless of age or income

NRRA was founded in 1986 by Ralph E. Sloan, formerNorwalk Superintendent of Schools; Dr. Norman J. Weinberger, a Norwalk pediatrician, and a few local residents. Our initial goals were modest: to provide rowing opportunities for adult and youth athletes and to develop a competitive high school program. Since then we have developed a Masters (adult) program which promotes wellness and competition f

rom the experienced rower to the complete novice and a Youth program with over 140 students from more than a dozen school districts which regularly develops nationally competitive crews.
