REMI IS IN REMISSION. 🤍
I cannot believe I get to say those words again.

A month ago, we got the call that his leukemia was back. We packed up our lives and went inpatient. Chemo, immunotherapy, steroids, procedures, transfusions. We watched his hair fall out again and his little body fight harder than it ever should have to.
And it worked!!!

This time, “remission” means something different.
It does not mean Remi’s cancer is gone or that his fight is over. There can still be leukemia hiding at levels we cannot see or detect.

But remission means we made it to the next step we have been fighting so desperately to reach, his bone marrow transplant.
Until then, we’ll return every week for immunotherapy to keep him in remission and get him safely to transplant.

There is still so much ahead of us. But today, I don’t want to look ahead. Because a month ago, I would have given anything to hear these words one more time. And today, I get to say them.
My baby is in remission. Again!

Thank you God, thank you Remi’s medical staff & team, thank you to all of you for following us, and sending your prayers and love every single day.

We are celebrating with ice cream and lots of outdoor family time!🍦
