The deadline to apply for Soroptimist's Live Your Dream: Education & Training Awards for Women is fast approaching!

💜 Applications close November 15, 2026!

Do you know a woman who is working toward a better future for herself and her family?

These awards are designed for women who:

💜 Provide the primary financial support for themselves and their dependents, such as children, parents, or other family members.

💜 Are enrolled in or have been accepted into a vocational training program or undergraduate degree program.

💜 Demonstrate financial need.

💜 Are motivated to improve their education, career opportunities, and financial independence.

Soroptimist International of South Bay is accepting applications from eligible women in our local community! Applications are submitted through Soroptimist's online portal, where applicants are connected with a participating local Soroptimist club based on their location.

Recipients selected at the club level may also be eligible for additional awards at the regional and international levels.

Awareness Leads To Prevention!
⚕️ BREAST CANCER is the most common cancer among women globally. It is important to be aware of changes in the breasts and to seek medical advice if something seems unusual.
⚕️ Signs can include: a breast lump or thickening, changes in the size or shape of the breast, changes in the skin or ni**le, or abnormal fluid from the ni**le.
⚕️ In 2024, an estimated 2.4 million women were diagnosed with breast cancer worldwide, and 8.2 million women were living with breast cancer at the end of the year. It occurs in every country and can affect women at any age after puberty, with rates increasing later in life.
