What a great presentation by Lt. Governor Chris Cournoyer today! We learned a lot about the America 250 celebrations and how we as Iowans can celebrate what makes our state unique! We also learned about the Harvest Festival coming up on October 24 from 1-7 at the Capital grounds. Sounds like an event worth checking out for sure!

We had a very exciting meeting on Tuesday where we were presented with a huge check from 100 Men of Norwalk to support our annual coat drive. Over $9800 to help keep families warm next winter!!
We also had an inspiring and enlightening speaker, Alison Hoeman, from Des Moines Refugee Support who talked about all the good the organization does for the refugee community in our area. If you would more information on their organization please send a message and we can connect you!
