For 40 days this fall, Catholics and other Christians throughout the Toledo area are invited to come together in prayer for an end to abortion through the annual 40 Days for Life campaign.

Catholic Charities Diocese of Toledo is seeking one full-time, third shift Residential Specialist for Miriam House, in Norwalk, OH. Miriam House is a transitional housing program that offers safe and stable housing to homeless women, pregnant women and their children. As a 24-hour operation, this full-time Residential Specialist must be available to work nights and weekends on a scheduled basis at the facility.

The Residential Specialist fosters positive communication and steadfast advocacy, assisting women and children throughout their journey at Miriam House. Residential Specialists maintain the facility’s order, cleanliness, and safety, and offer friendly service to our residents while ensuring compliance with house policies and procedures.

Johnny Harvey (left) discusses the programming that was effective in his redemption. George Clayton (right) was on death row and served 50 years in prison for being complicit, at the scene of a robbery, where a police officer was killed. Both are working to assist former inmates who are preparing to reenter society after incarceration.

The Norwalk Community Health Fair, hosted by First United Methodist Church, featured over 30 vendors, some offering free health screenings.
