Love Grows Love Animal Assisted Learning

Love Grows Love Animal Assisted Learning Our Core Values: Everyone has choices, deserves respect, and is loved by God. In the future, we plan to add chickens and goats.

Our Mission: Love Grows Love is a partnership with God, animals, and creation to help people discover their strengths, grow in confidence, and become all God created them to be. Located in Norwalk Ohio Love Grows Love is a non-profit organization that promotes partnering with God and creation for self-discovery in developing teens as leaders through strength-based learning. In a farm-style environ

ment we offer purposeful, guided animal assisted learning and farm-activity experiences. Participants can increase self-awareness and life application in these concepts: respect, responsibility, relationship skills, empathy, boundaries, choices/outcomes while having fun learning about themselves, their strengths and others. Currently Love Grows Love has a variety of equine partners including full-sized horses, miniatures, and a darling mule as well as dogs and cats. There will be other on-the-farm experiences like learning to compost and gardening for experiential learning. We work to help Huron county be a thriving, positive place to live by building connections to faith, family, and community in a challenging and encouraging environment. Though new to the Norwalk area, Love Grows Love is partnering, connecting, and working with other organizations that have many years of experience working with animal assisted learning. Key partners and organizations include:
-Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch
-E3A Equine experiential education
-Ginny Telego, The Collaboration Partners Ashland Ohio

Love Grows Love is led by a board of directors: Donna Hammann, Denny Cutnaw, Mollie Riley, and Marilyn Kamm

Our Vision: Seeing people engaging in the adventure of life with God. Our Mission: On the farm, we promote partnering with God and creation for self discovery in being all God has called us to be. We are so thankful for the blessings of our supporters throughout the community. Many hours and donations have made Love Grows Love a reality.

Have you heard the news?! 🐴💛

Sky’s 90-day trial is officially up… he has touched the hearts of just about everyone who has met him here at Love Grows Love.

But even more than that, Sky became the missing piece our herd needed to find true peace and harmony. And we are so excited to officially say…

Sky is HOME. 🏡🐴

His journey to us is quite a story.

Bred for high-level dressage and born in Germany, Sky eventually made his way to New York. Along the way, the people who loved him discovered that neither dressage nor jumping was really where Sky wanted to be.

Turns out, Sky prefers the slower-paced life.

And maybe that is exactly why he found his way here. 💛

Over these past 90 days, Sky has reminded us again and again of something we all need to remember sometimes:

Slow down.
Be present.
Notice the person standing in front of you.

Sky seems to have an incredible ability to find the person in the room who needs to be seen. He quietly makes his way toward them, offering his presence without asking for anything in return.

In our Four Corners of Shared Leadership, we would call Sky the Feeler—aware of connection, relationship, and what is happening within the herd around him.

And perhaps that is part of the reason he has fit so beautifully into ours.

From Germany, to New York, and through all the chapters in between, somehow Sky’s journey led him right here.

And now we get to say…

Welcome home, Sky. 💛

We have a feeling your greatest work was never meant to happen in a dressage ring or over a jump.

Maybe it was always meant to happen right here—simply by being exactly who you are.

Love Grows Love. 🐴🌿💛

I will never forget this moment during our Stable Connections class.

This little guy wasn’t especially excited about working with the horses—but then something shifted. He became fully present, and Bentley noticed.

At liberty, with no lead rope connecting them, Bentley chose to follow him through the obstacle course. She kept an eye and an ear turned toward him, quietly asking, “What’s next?” Whenever she stopped, he paused and problem-solved, searching for a new way to communicate and strengthen the connection they were building.

In those moments, he wasn’t worried about the room full of people watching him or thinking about what had happened at school that day. He was simply present—leaning into a new relationship, discovering that connection grows when we slow down, pay attention, and keep trying.

This is why we partner with horses. Sometimes, the most meaningful growth begins in the very place we weren’t sure we wanted to be. 💛🐴

I wonder what the horses have to teach your family? Sign your family up for stable connections today! Thanks to our supporters, we have new scholarships available making powerful connections and dinner with your herd and ours FREE!

🐴 School may be back in session, but learning doesn’t have to stop when the final bell rings!

Some of the most important lessons young people can learn are who they are, what strengths they carry, and how they can confidently connect with others.

At Love Grows Love, participants spend meaningful time with peers while partnering with horses to build confidence, strengthen communication, discover their unique abilities, and learn more about themselves.

🌿 Herd Qualities — designed for middle school students
🧰 Leadership Toolbox — designed for high school students

Each program includes six sessions, and with rolling enrollment, your child can begin whenever it works best for your family.

These programs typically cost $300 per participant, but funding is currently available to cover 100% of the cost for private-pay participants!

Give your child an opportunity to learn, grow, connect, and discover where their strengths shine. Send us a message today to learn more or reserve their fully funded spot!

What if one day with the horses helped you discover something new about yourself?

Teen HERd To Heart is a full day created especially for high-school and college-age young women—a chance to step away from everyday pressures, connect with the horses, and get curious about who you are and who you are becoming.

Through equine-assisted learning activities, meaningful conversations, and connection with other young women, you may uncover strengths, dreams, and pieces of yourself you have not discovered yet.

No pressure to have everything figured out. Just come ready to connect, explore, and see what the horses might help you recognize within yourself.

Today, we want to celebrate one of our truly incredible volunteers! 💛🐴

Over the past nine months, we have had the privilege of watching her blossom from a young girl who did not yet realize just how strong, capable, and wise she was into a confident young woman who knows her worth and takes pride in all she has accomplished.

She has poured so much time and hard work into Love Grows Love—some weeks volunteering nearly every day! Along the way, she has gained an incredible amount of horse knowledge, grown in responsibility and leadership, and become someone both people and horses can depend on.

Now, she is preparing to take her first big step into a career in the horse world, and we could not be more proud of her. Thank you for faithfully serving our herd, our participants, and our mission. We are so grateful to have been part of your journey, and we cannot wait to see where God leads you next. Your future is bright! 💛

P.S. Sara please don’t forget to call us with all the fun “pony” stories you’ll have from the racetrack! We sure will miss your “man” strength around here!

“Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord Almighty. —Zechariah 4:6 🤍

Sometimes strength doesn’t look like pushing harder, finding all the answers, or holding everything together.

Sometimes strength looks like loosening your grip, taking a breath, and trusting God with what you were never meant to carry alone.

The horses remind us of this so beautifully. They do not respond to force nearly as well as they respond to peace, connection, and a quiet willingness to listen. Perhaps we were created to live that way too—guided by God’s Spirit instead of exhausted by our own striving.

If you have been carrying too much, trying to control what you cannot change, or simply longing for space to breathe, reflect, and reconnect, we invite you to join our herd!

Schedule a FREE welcome in session.

Come partner with the horses, spend time in God’s creation, and be reminded that you do not have to find your way forward in your own strength.

Sometimes surrender is where new strength begins. 🌿🐴
